Geotechnical Investigation for New Seniors Complex

Geotechnical investigation for a proposed three storey seniors apartment building to be constructed on a vacant in-fill property located in centra Saskatoon. The property is part of a redevelopment of the area from commercial property to residential multi-tenant affordable housing. The project consisted of the drilling of boreholes to assess the subsurface soils and groundwater, laboratory testing on soil samples to assess geotechnical index properties and provision of a report with recommended foundation alternatives to support the proposed building as well as specifications for design and construction of the foundation alternatives. The project also included recommendations for site development including utilities installation, fill selection, specification and placement and parking lot area pavement structures.
